The Confederation bridge that links Prince Edward Island to the Canadian continent was sooooo long – we just shook our heads at each other as it went on and on….. after we’d been on the “Gentle Island” for a very short time we realized that the bridge was so long because we were so far from normal!
Lovely vistas of dunes and meadows, picturesque coves and pretty towns -it really was like the brochures. As Ray said,” – more shades of green than we’ve ever seen.” I’d seen an ad for beachside cottages that sounded lovely. The island mist turned cool and we were more comfortable in a modern hotel with internet and TV. ( guess I’m not a Green Gables kind of girl)
We enjoyed the site of the birth of Canadian Confederation. Charlottetown is busy and just as scenic as the rest of the island.
