Mele Kalikimaka

Of course we’ve seen the images from Magnum, Dan-O, movies and TV but the mountains, the waves crashing and the breezes swaying the palms are so much more in person. We had fun talking to mom’s cousin Diane who fell in love with Hawaii, visiting as a young girl and has sung it’s praises ever since. We had dinner (Cheeseburgers in paradise  – for sure!) at Dukes where Diane came many years ago.

At a lookout stop we met a couple, the Neely’s from Toronto, who race the Levels every year. Our hosts the Alimoot/ Stokes family have been so gracious and our little cottage is lovely. Lucky again!
